摘要
筆者於文中試圖梳理華人在紐約皇后區政治舞台上爭取政治權力的過程。主要的切入點分為政治社團與個人參政兩個層面。首先，筆者記述了這些社團與政治領袖的崛起及其倡導的政治活動；再者，筆者亦探究隱含在華人參政過程中的一些決定性因素，諸如性別、領導風格、選區重劃、意識形態、及選民教育等。

Abstract
In this article the author tries to trace the political empowerment of Chinese in Queens local political arena. The author divides it into two levels: the associations and the individuals. The author describes the emergence and activities of these associations and individual leaders. Follow it, the author discusses the roles of gender, leadership, redistricting project, ideologies and voters’ education played in this empowerment process.
