摘要
安妮.艾諾透過剖析當代社會中的個體與集體關係,獲諾貝爾文學獎殊榮。然而,她以庶民視角進行的文學創作,對文化階層秩序構成了衝擊,使其獲獎緣由受到質疑。本文透過艾諾於1993年至2014年間發表的三本城郊新市鎮日常隨筆,來探究其商場書寫特點及其潛在的閱讀方向。基於消費行為學的商場購物經驗理論,將商場敘事分為感官接受、行為實踐與意識形態三層面,以便解析商場空間中的複魅行銷與營銷機制所塑造的消費行為,以及當代消費文化的價值體現,試圖打破傳統文學與社會科學之間的界限,展現地方與時代複雜性所創造的新文學形式與視角。
Abstract
Annie Ernaux was recognized with the 2022 Nobel Prize in Literature for her analysis of contemporary society and the relationship between individuals and collectives. Her literary works, written from the perspective of ordinary people, challenged cultural hierarchies leading some critics to express skepticism about the motivations behind her receiving the award. This paper explores the literary characteristics and potential reading directions of Ernaux’s three essays on daily life in suburban new town, published between 1993 and 2014. Based on consumer behaviorial studies of the shopping experience, the narrative involving shopping malls is considered in three dimensions: sensory reception, behavioral practice, and ideology. The analysis examines how re-enchanted marketing and sales mechanisms within the shopping space shape consumer behavior, as well as how the shopping experience is reflective of values inherent in contemporary consumer culture. This approach aims to break the boundaries between traditional literature and social sciences, highlighting new literary forms and perspectives arising from the complexities of place and time.
